A library mystery

Downtown is a department store with an enormous set of windows.  Facing the walking/cycling street are the traditional mannequins, but along the breezeway is a series of promotions done by the library.  One window has books about knitting and some yarn, another has travel guides and a map.  One window has this poster, which says, "Fake or facts - sinister, crazy, scary facts from around the world," and in larger green letters says, "Another world."  I get the paper in another language, the aliens, a UFO, but the Cleveland baseball team's logo?  Any ideas?

  1. How random. Maybe a reference Ray Chapman? Though that wasn't the team mascot when he played. A reference to the river burning? Is there any way to find out?

  2. This is the website from the address listed on the poster, but it doesn't help me much.

  3. My guess is that the baseball team logo would fall into the "Can you believe it?" category. As in, "can you believe that in this day and age a sports team would still have such an offensive logo?" Since there is a lot of controversy about the image, and since it reproduces the same stereotypes as exaggerated grinning faces of black people from the era of blackface minstrelsy, that'd be my guess.
